- Vacuum once a week – Uhm, this is going to be hard, my vacuum died!!!! I really really need to buy a new vacuum. It’s June. I have NOT completed this. I seriously need a new vacuum.
- Learn to tie a tie
- Sell off most of my possessions – probably not happening now, I kinda like my stuff
- Move across the country – not happening now
- Move as few things as possible with me - not happening now
- Earn A’s in graduate school – not happening now
- Go on a date 1/2/09: CCG and I had dinner and then saw The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. It was good. Then he promptly started acting like a girl. I had one date. Then I had multiple dates. Then I didn’t date. Then I am again. It sucks being a single girl sometimes.
- Get a new DSLR
- Take more pictures than last year
- Walk a marathon
- Save $500 Done
- Go to a concert
- Eat fast food NO more than once a week Did this the last week of February and am planning on doing it again for quite some time. After surgery I made the decision to change my diet quite a bit and see how much better my body feels! I’m excited for the change!
- Write one hand-written letter a week
- Lose 20 pounds – I’m down ten pounds thanks to surgery. Let’s see if I can keep ‘em off! Done! Happy Birthday to me!
- Get new glasses
- Buy a little black dress (never owned one before)
- Buy myself a nice piece of classic jewelry – Silver hoop earrings! Fancy pants, I know.
- Keep blogging for a network – Still doing this! Actually stopped doing this in April. Except outside of WEGO Health. Something had to go.
- Buy my own blog domain - Research has begun.
- Look into buying a photography domain - Research has begun.
- Make photography business cards
- Use said photography business cards
- Participate in NoBloPoMo
- Succeed in NoBloPoMo
- Watch Mama Mia - I watched it … almost didn’t like it. Still torn.
- Get a pair of skinny jeans I tried on a half-dozen pair and don’t like how my body looks in them. Instead I bought a long shirt/short dress and leggings and wore them. I feel super cute in that.
- See a Broadway (or off Broadway, heck) show
- Keep track of every book I read (see Bibliophile page) Shit. I’ve forgotten about this. Damnit. I need to update it.
- Write at least one sentence to “review” each book I read (see Bibliophile page) See above. Shit.
- Keep track of every movie I watch (see Media page) This is not happening. It stresses me out way too much!
- Pay off Chase card - done in January!!!
- Pay off Capital One card (2008 will be my year-outta-credit-card-debt) This will be done in November or December. SO proud of that!
- Cut out sugar (and all sugar substitutes) for at least a week
- If I make it through the week, try for a month
- Cut out fast food for an entire month
- Eat like a vegetarian for an entire month
- Visit five new states (January – Georgia & South Carolina)
- Visit a foreign country
- Begin nose job research
- Learn to drive a stick shift
- Work on 3rd tattoo design
- Try out a new musical artist – Kanye West … Ne Yo … Adelle … Joe Purdy new stuff for me. Blip.fm has been a fantastic resource for new musical artists!
- Visit a museum
- Meet a blog friend in person (I don’t think I’ll be going to BlogHer so this will be an outside event!) I have a few plans in the works for this one and for #46. EWOKMAMA!!!!
- Meet a second blog friend in person This should be happening multiple times in AUGUST!!!
- Continue growing my hair out (1/2/09 trimmed & colored, 4/19 ready to chop it all off and just being patient) Bwahahah! 6/27 I chopped it all off again. Could not be patient and love what I did with it instead.
- Try Ethiopian food
- Find a South Carolina “home” church - not happening now
- Meet someone famous (I have never met a celebrity. I should start hunting them down.) (Pictures essentially confirm my mother offered a member of the Wu Tang Clan grapes and strawberries in the elevator. Fabulously embarrassing!)
- Splash in the ocean
- Learn to cook a fabulous new staple meal Orzo, chicken, green beans & carrots. NOM.
- Get a massage – thank you Acupuncturist!!!
- Give a massage
- Finish a cross-stitch
- Wear my hair really big in public (don’t ask me, it’s a goal, give me a break) – did this Salsa dancing … we called it my porn star hair. It was huge and fabulous!
- Ride in a cab
- Buy a non-traditional colored shoe (purple or green or something!) – I bought yellow wedge heels this weekend. I cannot wait to wear them!
- Find a job I like while going to graduate school – not happening now
- Organize my CD collection
- Organize my music on iTunes
- Organize my music on my iPod
- Take a cooking class (thanks Angie)
- Bake a cake from scratch
- Bake brownies from scratch
- Take a workout class
- Be able to do 50 (real) push ups in a row
- Find a new tea I like (Tazo Earl Grey – tasty stuff. I will probably try many more new teas this year.)
- Try a new coffee drink (Soy vanilla latte … the whole soy this is new for the year. I don’t mind it as much as I thought I would.)
- Don’t drink alcohol for an entire month 10 days prior to and while healing from surgery alcohol was a no-no so I was a good kid. Go me!
- Color a section of my hair a non-traditional color
- Get a manicure
- Get a pedicure – did it, almost hated it. Want someone to massage my calves full-time now though.
- Post a Vlog
- Repierce my nose – scheduled to do that 5/24
- Buy a fun new hat
- Wear blue eye shadow
- Go camping
- Hike in the Appalachian mountains – most likely not happening
- Ski on the East Coast – most likely not happening
- Plant a tree (thanks Angie)
- Play a game of poker 4/18 … two rounds … didn’t win anything but had fun learning
- Try a new beer
- Visit a National Monument (Does a national historic site count? The original campus at USC was amazing and VERY old.)
- Wear a headband
- Buy and keep a houseplant alive
- Bleach my teeth
- Visit with Michelle & the girls in Virginia when they’re there - most likely not happening
- Get a kitty - I don’t think this is going to happen. I think I’d rather pay off my debt or own a Blackberry instead.
- Volunteer at least 100 hours – Research has started on where I want to spend my volunteering hours. I am contacting a few places in April. It’s on the month’s goals list. Found somewhere to volunteer, now just working out what I can do for them with the little time in life I have.
- Drink 64 ounces of water every day for a week – done. The weeks after my surgery have held so much dry mouth it’s been EASY to drink so much water. I’m still doing it. I’m working on the month thing!
- If I can do it for a week, make it a year month
- Go on a road trip with no predetermined destination – done in February. Will do another in April. I loved this!
- Buy a matching bra & panty set
- Clean a drawer (thanks Angie) - my whole dresser (six drawers!) has been cleaned out
- Tithe
- Read the entire Bible from cover to cover again
- Improve my posture
- Work from home – Still doing this!
- Leave my city once a month - (January – Atlanta, Georgia and Columbia/Charleston, South Carolina; February – traveled all over the north Oregon and south Washington coast; March – Gervais, OR, where my parents live; April – trip to Castle Rock, WA, May – headed to the beach! May – Cannon Beach & Hug Point, Oregon. June – uhm, sadly I only went to Gervais, OR in June. I wasn’t very brave that month.)
- Dance in the rain - so invigorating
- Jump in a puddle
- Reform my DVD collection
- Buy a gift for a stranger
- Be fitted for a bra
- Take one hot bath a week (instead of three or four)
- Memorize the lyrics to a song not in my regular genre (DONE! Miss Independent by Ne-Yo. For some reason I love this song! I also am really digging Jamie Foxx & Ne-Yo’s She Got Her Own.)
- Do some more health networking
- Make a list of 110 resolutions for next year
