This morning, a friend dragged me out of bed to do some Googling for her. Google sucked and they lost her an iPod. I am the Queen of Searching and was unable to find this and was peeved.
In 20 years, the Tiffany ad has not moved from the same position in the New York Times. The content may have changed, and the paper’s owners may have changed, but Tiffany has had the same ad placement for 20 years. Why that’s significant for an iPod win I have no idea, but it was. We couldn’t find that fact anywhere. Google spiders, please pick up this post … help someone else win an iPod with a random fact.
Now I’m going back to screaming at my television. The Beavers are playing the Golden Bears in hopes of smearing ‘em so that they can go to the Rose Bowl. The last time the Beavers were at the Rose Bowl was 1964. My mom was less than five-years-old. That is sad. We are ahead by 7 right now and there has been a flag. Bummer. I am freaking out because I know I won’t get to see the end of this game. I’m volunteering for the Northwest Food & Wine Festival this afternoon (for two $95 tickets and all the food/wine you want to taste you would, too) and need to get on transit about an hour before the end of the game. Why wasn’t I thinking about this when I volunteered!?!?!?!

Tiffany & Co. is a pretty classy place. They’re demonstrating not only good marketing but good manners by keeping their ad anchored in The Times. Don’t forget tomorrow’s Silly Sunday Sweepstakes…gotta good one for ya!
